Important: Please read this document carefully. It affects your legal rights and obligations.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Distribute My Idea (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit distributemyidea.com, create an account, purchase a subscription, submit a product, communicate with us, or otherwise use the Service. It does not govern third-party websites or platforms that have their own privacy practices.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information from Google, such as your name, verified email address, Google account identifier, and profile image. We do not receive or store your Google password.
  • Product and campaign information, including URLs, descriptions, audience, objectives, brand materials, generated content, selected opportunities, approvals, and execution history.
  • Billing and subscription information from Stripe, such as customer and subscription identifiers, plan, status, and billing events. Payment-card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored by us.
  • Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser, device type, pages, timestamps, referring URLs, feature interactions, errors, security events, and approximate location derived from IP.
  • Communications and support information you send to hello@distributemyidea.com, including attachments and information needed to respond.
  • Information from public product websites and distribution destinations, including publicly available page metadata, submission requirements, categories, and channel characteristics.

3. How we use information

  • Provide authentication, product analysis, matching, campaign preparation, approved execution, tracking, billing, and support.
  • Personalize recommendations and improve ranking quality, channel freshness, reliability, accessibility, and usability.
  • Protect accounts, detect fraud and abuse, enforce terms, debug errors, maintain logs, and preserve the security and integrity of the Service.
  • Process subscriptions, send receipts and service notices, respond to requests, and communicate material policy or product changes.
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, establish or defend legal claims, and protect users, third parties, and the public.
  • Create aggregated or de-identified analytics and benchmarks that do not reasonably identify an individual or customer.

4. Legal bases where applicable

Where a legal basis is required, we process personal information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests in operating and improving a secure distribution service, comply with legal obligations, and obtain consent when required. You may withdraw consent for future processing at any time, but withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.

5. How we disclose information

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices.

  • Service providers that host infrastructure, process payments, provide authentication, monitor reliability, send operational communications, or support our business under contractual restrictions.
  • Distribution destinations and platforms when you direct or approve a submission, integration, outreach message, or other external action.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and financial institutions where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, and the integrity of the Service.
  • A buyer, investor, successor, or other participant in a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale, subject to customary safeguards.
  • Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

6. Google and Stripe

Google provides account authentication under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. Our use of Google user data is limited to providing and securing account access and follows applicable Google API Services User Data requirements.

Stripe processes payment details and billing events as an independent service provider or controller under its terms. We receive limited subscription and transaction metadata needed to administer your account, reconcile payments, and prevent fraud.

7. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account, meet contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain legitimate business records. Retention depends on data type, sensitivity, purpose, risk, and legal requirements.

Account and product records are ordinarily retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Billing, security, audit, and legal records may be kept longer. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information indefinitely. Backup deletion may occur on a delayed schedule.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transport, access controls, signed sessions, restricted credentials, payment processing through Stripe, and logging for security-sensitive events. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for securing your Google account, devices, and authorized team access. Contact hello@distributemyidea.com promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

9. Your choices and rights

Submit a request to hello@distributemyidea.com. We may verify your identity and authority before responding. Authorized agents must provide proof of authority, and we may still verify the request directly with you. Some information may be retained or excluded as permitted by law.

  • Access, correct, or update account and product information through the Service where available.
  • Cancel a subscription and disconnect future account use.
  • Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection where applicable law provides those rights.
  • Withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing messages using the unsubscribe method provided; operational and billing messages will continue when necessary.
  • Appeal a denied privacy request where applicable and contact your local data protection authority.

10. U.S. state privacy disclosures

Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. We do not discriminate for exercising privacy rights. As described above, we do not sell personal information for money or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We collect the categories described in Section 2 for the purposes in Section 3 and disclose them to the recipient categories in Section 5. We retain them according to Section 7.

11. International transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual protections.

12. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

13. Cookies and browser signals

We use essential cookies for authentication, OAuth security, session continuity, billing workflows, and fraud prevention. Additional analytics or preference technologies may be used as described in our Cookie Policy. Because there is no uniform standard, the Service may not respond to legacy “Do Not Track” signals. Where legally required and technically supported, we will honor recognized opt-out preference signals.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Questions, requests, and formal notices may be sent to hello@distributemyidea.com.
